About English Electric

English Electric, established in the early 20th century, was a British manufacturing company that specialized in electrical power generation and transmission equipment, marine propulsion systems, railway signaling, locomotives, and industrial products. They were also known for their work on steam turbines and aircraft engines. However, the company ceased operations in the 1960s following a series of mergers and restructuring within the industry. Today, much of English Electric's legacy lives on in other companies that have inherited their technologies and expertise.
